Cadets
Formed on 17 April, 1913, the Winnipeg Highland Cadet Corps has had ties to the Cameron Highlanders of Canada since its inception. The cadet corps first Commanding Officer, Major W.G. Bell, was a serving officer in the Cameron Highlanders of Canada. Ties were formalized in March of 1914 when the corps became officially affiliated with the Regiment. In December 1930 the Winnipeg Highland Cadet Corps was granted authority to change its name to The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada Cadet Battalion. With this change the cadets adopted the uniform of the affiliated unit, including cap badge, royal blue hackle and dark blue glengarry.
